The PTA regretfully announces the cancellation of the Annual Basket Dinner. Sadly, we did not receive enough support this year to make it happen. Ticket sales did not reach the anticipated minimum required by The Watermill Caterers. All basket donations will be returned to the donors. Any monetary donations sent in with staff appreciation will go towards this years Culture Arts Program.
We also struggled with a complete lack of volunteer help this year. If we are to continue this tradition, this will have to change in the years to come. Unfortunately, Culture Arts, as well as many other PTA Funded events will be impacted by this for next school year. Nassakeag has boasted a very rich tradition of Culture Arts events for each grade level such as Civil War re-enactions, Nature Nick visits, Dino-Man presentations, Holocaust survivor meetings, and talks just to name a few. We also support the Nassakeag Cares theme with T-Shirts for every student and faculty.
Each and every event run, or jointly run with the school requires volunteer help; that is the whole premises of the PTA. We sincerely hope this might bring a new desire to help amongst the parents. We welcome volunteers at any time and as always sign-up sheets are in the cafeteria when the school holds open house night.

Staff Appreciation is in May. During staff appreciation, we like to thank everyone in the school. This includes the teachers, custodians, lunch aides, office administrators, nurses, librarians, cafeteria staff, and the classroom aides for their interaction with our children during this year. A donation per student will help us provide the staff with a luncheon, breakfast, and dessert.
We are asking for a $10.00 donation. You can write a check made payable to NASSAKEAG PTA.
